The Tackling Poverty and Inequalities Team leads partnership work across Aberdeenshire to reduce the number of people experiencing poverty, prevent families from reaching crisis, and improve wellbeing for those most affected. Their approach is grounded in rights, dignity and inclusion, with a strong focus on listening to and acting on the voices of people with lived experience.
Working alongside community partners, the team strengthens early intervention, improves access to essential services, and supports action on food security, financial inclusion, rural poverty, employability, and housing. Their work is guided by shared priorities including reducing child and family poverty and supporting people to build secure and resilient futures. This partnership approach ensures that change is meaningful, locally informed and responsive to the needs of individuals, families and communities across Aberdeenshire.
